Ode to Miss Deidre Crunt

Dark shadows of sinister velvet stalk the gloomy landscape,
Vile lusting monsters tear at my flesh,
Feasting on the decaying crust of existence,
Without Deidre.

Seething blackness and cold clammy solitude are my only friends,
The stinking pit of lonely despair, my prison,
A metal cage forged from crippled hope,
Without Deidre.

Dribbling beasts of despondent gloom lurch out of the darkness,
Taunting me with their fetid stench of reality,
Bile oozing from the stinking jaws of life,
Without Deidre.

Death lurks in the dark corners of my dank hole of incarceration,
Seductively beckoning with thin crooked fingers of ice,
I am the slave, the hungry grave, my master,
Without Deidre.

A Mottled Cruet

"A mottled cruet brings sheep upon the noxious,
And riddled turnstiles grate with bawdy fuel
To press the blatant rook; an easy poultice?
Yet braced within a grummet lies the string
Of fettered mutton, lamps beneath a gracious
But solid crust; and casting the whores of drivel
To rampant piles of remotely painted fish,
We grout the harnessed pudding without trouser."
